Rules & privacy.
What every member agrees to, and how we handle your information.
Community rules & policies
By creating an account, you agree to the following terms of participation in the Tennis Alumni Global (the “Network”):
Respectful conduct
You agree to treat all members with courtesy and respect. Harassment, hate speech, threats, discrimination, bullying, or targeted abuse of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or removal of your account.
Fair and honest participation
You agree to represent yourself truthfully, including your identity, collegiate playing background, and any professional or contact information you share on your profile. Impersonation or misrepresentation of your affiliation with the Network is prohibited.
Content you post
You are solely responsible for the photos, messages, profile details, and other content you share. You agree not to post anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or that violates the privacy of others. We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these rules.
No spam or unsolicited promotion
You agree not to send spam, repetitive or bulk messages, chain messages, or unsolicited advertising or promotional material to other members. Using the Network to harvest contact information, promote unrelated products or services, or drive traffic to external sites without permission is prohibited.
Meeting and playing in person
The Network may help you connect with other alumni for chapter events, mentorship and meetups. You acknowledge that any in-person interaction, match, meetup, or activity is undertaken at your own risk. The Tennis Alumni Global does not vet, endorse, or supervise members and is not responsible for the conduct of any user you meet.
Assumption of physical risk
Tennis and related physical activity carry an inherent risk of injury. You acknowledge that you participate voluntarily and assume all such risks, and you release the Tennis Alumni Global, its organizers, and affiliated chapters from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to warn, suspend, or permanently remove any member who violates these rules, at our sole discretion.
Privacy policy
What we collect
When you create an account, we store the information you provide on sign-up and in your profile:
- Full name and email address
- University and graduation year
- Current job title and company
- LinkedIn profile URL
- City / chapter location
- Coaching availability status, if you choose to set one
How it’s used
Your profile information powers the alumni directory. It’s how fellow members find you by city, school, or name, and how chapter-level statistics (like member counts) are calculated. We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t sell or rent member data to third parties.
Who can see it
Directory information (name, school, grad year, position, company, LinkedIn, city, coaching status) is visible to anyone searching the Find Alumni directory, matching how the network has always operated. The point of the directory is to be findable. Your email address is only shown to you and to Network administrators; it is not displayed publicly in search results.
Account security
Passwords are never stored or visible to us in plain text. They’re securely hashed by our authentication provider (Supabase). Administrators can view and edit your directory information but cannot see your password. You’re responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity under your account.
Your choices
You can update or correct your profile information at any time from Edit Profile. If you’d like your account removed entirely, contact an administrator at support@tennisalumni.org.
